NAPI Calendar for 2005/6

March-Mid November: Our normal season of good weather and lots of lessons starts in again!

April 16-17: Oceanside Fly-In: An annual fun flying event at Oceanside, OR.

April 30-31: Beach In--Chelan WA.

May 14-15: Tiger Mountain XC Comp--First year for this first timer competition. Bring a friend as tandem flights will be available.

May 30th-July 4th: Rat Race--This event has grown into the Region 1 regional sanctioned competition. Fun event for new competitors!

June 30th-July 3rd: Pemberton-Whistler-Classic--A terrific low-key competition. We will be providing a tour during this event!

July 4-9: Chelan Classic--WA's premier competition that is held every year right after the 4th! A great format where pilots choose the task and gather points at they go. We will be running a tour during this event so please check out more information on our tour page. This is a terrific event and method of getting introduced to XC flying at Chelan Butte.

July 10-16: US Nationals--Held at Chelan Butte immediately following the Chelan Classic this is sure to be a fantastic event with all the country's top pilots in attendance. We will be running a tour during this event so please check out more information on our tour page. It is exciting to have the US Nationals held at Chelan Butte once again!

July 30: Tiger Fly-in--annual fund raising event for the NW paragliding club.

July 27-31: Full Certification--A full five days of paragliding lessons throughout WA. We will start with ground handling & theory and then quickly move onto training hill flights and then both tandem and solo high flights. A great way to become fully absorbed in paragliding and learn it quickly. Sites we may use are Watt Canyon, Tiger, Chelan, Saddle, Clemon, The Bowl, Baldy, and more!

Nov 18-27: Chile--We are heading back to Chile for another amazing XC tour in the Atacama desert. Perfect weather, great flying, scrumptious food, wonderful wine, and charming people all await you on this spectacular cross country flying extravaganza. US$2100 includes airport pick up, welcome meal/drinks,  guiding, lodging, transport/retrieve, some breakfasts, picnic lunches/snack when out of town, cold drinks, van transport, translator, trip video, airport drop off, and more. Must be a P3 pilot with turbulence and reserve clinics signed off.

Nov 27-Dec 3: Chile Exploration--Limited space...call for details.

Jan/Feb 2006: South Pacific--Our annual trip to New Zealand, Australia, or New Caledonia.

Feb 2006: South Africa: Excellent flying potential...not to mention the chance to go on safari and see The Big Five, swim from the Atlantic to the Indian ocean, and taste wine in Franschoek.
