tours that will allow you to expand your flying ability at interesting new sites, and advance you to the next level in your flying career!

For those of you who are interested in earning your PARA 3 rating from North American Paragliding, Inc., the following information outlines a timeline progression and what is required of you:

The cost of our program is $600 (there is a $400 discount for any of our former Full Certified Pilots currently flying a glider purchased from us) and you may sign up and begin working on your PARA 3 any time after you receive your PARA 2 rating.

You can start your PARA 3 training at anytime after your PARA 2 completion. In order to finalize your PARA 3 with North American Paragliding, Inc. you need the following:
  1. Have had a PARA 2 for at least 4 months
  2. Have logged 30 days of flying
  3. Have logged 90 flights or more
  4. Have logged 20 hours or more
  5. Complete a review of intermediate flight tasks including but not limited to:

    Ridge and thermal soaring
    Right of way rules
    Speed bar use
    Big ears
    Wing tip collapse
    Speed to fly/surge control
    10-foot spot landings
    Competent launch and landing skills
    Top and side-hill landings
    Equipment preflight

  6. Show consistent good judgment and weather knowledge
  7. Understand FAA regulations and sectional charts
  8. Understand and give a briefing of all aerobatics, such as stalls and spins
  9. Pass the USHGA PARA 3 exam
