We have listed "the perfect package" below and also made note of some of the optional items you may wish to purchase, but are not necessarily required for flying.

The PERFECT First Package

XiX Smile: This Swiss-made DHV 1 paraglider is the perfect wing for both learning and flying for your first 2-3 years. The quality Swiss product comes with a three year warrantee, is one of the safest and most stable wings available, yet still has a "sporty" roll rate and performance level not typically found with entry level wings. Another nicety is the fact that it is priced well within the range of other entry level wings regardless of it's superior Swiss design. US$3200.

Supair Evo Top:

Charlie Insider: A great value, comfortable, semi-streamlined helmet with excellent peripheral vision that will accommodate glasses or goggles. US$192 to US$224.

Free Flight Enterprises Lara 250 or Lara 250 Gold: FFE has been making reserve parachutes for US and World pilots for over 30 years and do it best! Two models in either the standard or Gold are available...in addition to various sizes to fit your needs. US$ 529 or US$689.

Yasue 2m Radio: More info coming soon.

Pryme SPM 300: This speaker-mic is easily mounted inside your helmet (we can do it for you for an additional charge if you wish) and provides good in-flight communication while minimizing wind noise. US$20.

Critter Radio Harness: Very high quality harness for holding your radio, extra batteries and some miscellaneous accessories. This may be an optional item depending on the internal pockets on your parka or flight suit. US$49.

Flytec 4005: This variometer is inexpensive, simple, effective, rugged, and pretty much ideal for your first time variometer. Other models are available with various options if you prefer, and know you are going to work yourself into XC and competition flying in the near future. A variometer is a nice, but optional item. US$475.

Critter GPS/Vario Holder: Although this is not a necessary item, it is a great way to help protect your variometer. This is as optional as your variometer. US$25.

Hanwag Boots: One of the best pieces of safety gear you can buy. High topped, hook-less, well cushioned, great shank, and more. Specifically designed for the active paragliding pilot. If you already have high top ankle supporting boots, this could be optional. US$279.

Flight Suit: There are various manufacturers of flight suits, but I typically just use my normal outdoor Gore-Tex shell because it is already purchased and is more versatile in other sports and, heck, even going out to eat in the NW! US$0 to US$500.

Hummer: Although this is not the most common paragliding vehicle, I am sure it could be one of the most fun. Even though we don't currently sell the Hummer, we do offer test driving services at no charge! US$55,000 to US$130,000.

XiX Form 3: The Form 3 is rated DHV 2, comes with a three year warrantee, is an incredibly fast and stable XC glider designed for intermediate and advanced pilots only. US$3700.

XiX SENS: This Swiss-made DHV BEP paraglider is a full on competition wing available only to pilots on contract. Call for pricing and availabilty.
