2005/2006 Tour Availability We have been guiding excursions of paragliding, hang gliding, climbing, and hiking throughout the world since the mid 1980's. We have all types of tours, clinics, competition and fly-in events for pilots of every skill level. If you want to increase your air time, XC record, skill level, in addition to experiencing new places, cultures, and people...give us a call because we do it best! Please check our calendar for more specific dates and bear in mind that although some of these trips are pre-planned with dates chosen by us, you can also name a place and time you would like to go and let us hassle with the details. We can put any trip together, to your specifications, and then provide personal guiding, translations, retrievals, instructions, video filming, etc.
South Africa: We are putting together a small two-part/week tour designed for pilots with families. Part of the time will be dedicated to flying the various coastal sites along The Garden Route and in the Cape Town area, but at other times we will be on Safari in Kruger National Park (the largest park in the world and the only one that spans four countries), tasting wine in Stellenbosh, and enjoying the many other opportunities South Africa has to offer. Our reconnoitering tour of Africa lasted a month and we were able to thoroughly check out the country and find the best places to go. This tour will cover all those best places in a shorter period of time. Don't miss this trip!
New Zealand: A hot summers get away...in the middle of winter! Great flying and lots of other adventure too! Mostly thermal with a little ridge soaring and also boat towing if you wish. This trip is very flexible with both the numbers of days and also the number of pilots in the group. This is also a good trip to consider for a private, or your own small personal group, tour. The flying is appropriate for P2 (or almost!) through advanced pilots. Check out the slide show and articles on New Zealand! or call 206.320.9010 for more information. Brazil! A new trip to the beautiful countryside and smooth thermals of this terrific flying area. 5-15 day trips available in late February and March. This is almost exclusively thermal flying with nice XC with easy retrievals. Beautiful people and country!!! San Francisco: Our "Bay Area" tour is typically a long weekend during the Spring. We mostly fly coastal sites such as The Dumps, The Stables, or sometimes a private site a bit farther south. This is geared toward a nice relaxing warm up for the summer, and also a relaxing new form of flying for the, typically, thermal pilots that go. While not flying, we all enjoy staying in downtown San Francisco and the great food, wine, and ambiance it has to offer. A rainy day trip to Napa is also always a possibility.
...Competition Guide Service for a variety of NW events including the Pemberton-Whistler-Classic, the Chelan Classic, and the US Nationals. For all of these, we have the ability to offer airport pick up and drop off, transportation to/from the event, daily transport to launch, daily retrieves radio and/or cell phone communication during tasks, camping/lodging, entry fees, site and WX briefings, "on the fly" condition updates, general assistance on launch & while flying, and MORE! Limited space, so please sign up early. For specific 2005 dates, please check the calendar and click a thumbnail for a larger photo of what you will be doing this summer both in Chelan WA and Pemberton BC. Northern Italy: Come fly the Dolomites in late summer and early fall! Spectacular vistas, jagged peaks, great flying with beautiful views. I have been to Northern Italy twice so far and find the Dolomites to be a spectacular beauty for flying, hiking, and just gazing at the spires. I feel as if I could live a lifetime there and still not see it all.
Chile: Chile is a country loaded with exceptional XC, fat & smooth thermals, great wine, sea bass, steaks and everything else! Experience a new culture, unbelievable geology, and the best flying of your life in the Atacama desert. This trip is very much about FLYING and that is all we concentrate on. When the weather starts to deteriorate all around North America during November and December, why not head out for a South American Vacation? Call 206.320.9010 today or email us at napi@fun2fly.com.
